About
Vima Gallery
Our Story
Vima Gallery was founded by Mona to create a space where creativity is respected, nurtured, and celebrated.
Mona lives in San Diego with her family and has a lifelong passion for art education and design.
With formal training in drawing, painting, calligraphy, and traditional Eastern miniature painting, Mona holds a degree in Industrial Design and an MFA from Rochester Institute of Technology.
At just 18 years old, she held her first gallery exhibition at SaadAbad Palace in Tehran, showcasing her early dedication to the arts.
Today, Mona shares her passion through Vima Gallery, which offers children and adults a welcoming space to explore their creativity and build a lifelong relationship with art.
Our Teaching Philosophy
At Vima Gallery, art is not about copying, it’s about discovering.
For young children (ages 4–7), Mona’s approach is centered on exploration, play, and emotional connection.
Rather than focusing on rigid techniques, students are encouraged to trust their imagination and express how they see the world.
As students grow, they are gradually introduced to the principles of design, which helps them build strong foundational skills while preserving their authentic artistic voice.
At every stage, Vima Gallery is a place where creativity is honored, and every artist’s journey is uniquely supported.
Our Mission
To nurture creativity with respect and joy, helping each artist, young or adult, build confidence, develop skills, and weave art naturally into their lives.
